Police investigates as 1 hurt after shooting outside James Bowie High School in Arlington, TX

Arlington Police Department is investigating a shooting incident at James Bowie High School campus on Wednesday. According to the department, one person has been transported to a hospital with a gunshot wound following an incident out of the school campus this afternoon. Out of an abundance of caution, the school was placed on a mandatory lockdown as the arriving police sweep through the area for the suspect involved. According to CBS News, dismissal will be delayed due to a police investigation in the school area.

James Bowie High School is located at 2101 Highbank Dr, Arlington, Texas. Arlington Police are responding to an incident outside of the school. Law enforcement personnel have arrived at the location at this moment. According to the Arlington Police Department, James Bowie High School is currently under lockdown as authorities are investigating an “incident” that has occurred outside the school premises. Bowie High School has been placed on lockdown while we respond to an incident outside of the school. Officers are on the scene now, Arlington, TX Police.
